ProLogic Data Migration Project Experience
Shell
International E&P

ProLogic is in the process of migrating 140+ locations inventory management system data from a decentralized Clipper application into centralized Oracle 8i database. The data migration process is very complex with the source and target systems having vastly different schema. The amount of data being migrated is very large (approximately 100 GB). Numerous data integrity checks, exception reports, and staging points are implemented to ensure data is clean before being imported into the new database structure.
Baker Petrolite,
a Baker Hughes Company
Migrated over 100 product data sheets from Quark (desktop publishing) format into a database-driven application that is capable of publishing the product data sheets to multiple target formats.
Fisher Medical, a
Fisher Scientific Company
Migrated over 10,000 product data records from invididual Adobe Acrobat PDF files to create a Microsoft SQL Server-based on-line product catalog and Ecommerce system for medical products.
